Dedicated to promoting classical arts, The Mahadeo Degwekar Foundation (MDF) strives to preserve and nurture the rich heritage of dance and music.

Our
Story
Arts are the foundation of this world - there is no "Earth" without "Art". Art is everywhere, from the small drawings of a child to the earnest performances of a budding dancer. Yet there are many around the world who struggle with finding opportunities to enjoy the arts.
The Mahadeo Degwekar Foundation 501(c)(3) aims to address this issue by bringing the joy of arts to different communities. This organization is named after Shri Mahadeo Degwekar, the grandfather of our Founder-President, Pallavi Degwekar, who was a renowned Indian Classical vocalist. This organization builds on his vision to give back to the community through art.
In this pursuit, MDF has been organizing concerts, workshops, art and crafts events, and interactive storytelling sessions to help spread understanding and appreciation of the classical arts amongst all.
